Blue Origin CEO announces launch before the end of the year

On June 3rd, according to Dave Linp, CEO of Blue Origin, despite a severe explosion last week, the company still plans to launch the New Glenn rocket again in 2026. Lin Pu said on Monday local time that the explosion occurred at the company's testing site in Cape Canaveral, Florida, and the damage to most of the launch pad's infrastructure was better than expected after the incident. He also stated that another New Glenn rocket booster that had previously performed flight missions in the launch site area, as well as the upper stages of three rockets, were "intact and undamaged". He stated, 'We will conduct another launch mission before the end of this year.' This accident is the largest and most anticipated failure since the establishment of Blue Origin, and setting a schedule for a return to orbit within the year is quite aggressive. Many insiders in the aerospace industry originally predicted that the launch of the New Glenn rocket would not resume until 2027 at the earliest. Previously, it was widely believed that the launch pad was severely damaged, and this is currently the only launch station of Blue Origin that can be adapted to the New Glenn rocket.
