On May 29th, according to Tesla, the exclusive Optimus humanoid robot factory in Tesla's Gigafactory in Texas has officially started construction. The factory is planned to have an annual production capacity of up to 10 million units, which is a key layout for Tesla to promote the industrialization of humanoid robots. In order to accelerate the landing of Optimus robots, Tesla has adjusted the production capacity layout of its Fremont factory in California, shutting down the Model S and Model X vehicle production lines for initial robot production. The first batch of robots is expected to be put into production from July to August this year, and the products will be prioritized for internal operations in the factory area to help the R&D team optimize the production process based on actual operating data. The Texas Gigafactory will build a second-generation production line, with plans to achieve large-scale production in the summer of 2027. After full operation, the daily average output will be about 27000 units.
