On June 3rd, according to Reuters, Chinese artificial intelligence startup DeepSeek will raise approximately 50 billion yuan (7.4 billion US dollars) in its first round of financing, with investors including Tencent Holdings and CATL. Insiders say that after this financing, the company's valuation may be between 350 billion yuan and 400 billion yuan, or between 52 billion and 59 billion US dollars. Due to confidentiality of information, these insiders refused to disclose their names. DeepSeek、 Liang Wenfeng, NetEase, JD.com, and the China Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund, which is the main investor of the National Artificial Intelligence Fund, did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment. Tencent and CATL declined to comment.
