The Shanghai Comprehensive Pilot Program for International Cooperation in the Field of National Data has been launched

The reporter learned from the 2026 Global Digital Cooperation and Exchange Conference and Global Data Week held in Shanghai on May 6th that under the guidance of the National Data Administration, Shanghai, as one of the first pilot cities for international cooperation in the field of data, has officially launched the comprehensive pilot work for international cooperation in the national data field in Shanghai. This pilot project focuses on 6 major sectors and 17 specific tasks, aiming to build a new international data cooperation system with leading facilities, mutual recognition of rules, empowerment of carriers, and integration of scenarios by 2030. It is closely related to unleashing the value of data, prospering the digital economy, and promoting digital overseas services, creating a new work pattern of "high standard cross-border data new foundation, high-quality mutual recognition of rules new system, high-energy international cooperation new carrier, and high synergy overseas service new ecology", and exploring innovation for participating in global digital governance and promoting convenient cross-border data flow.
