Transport Satellite Navigation Safety Application Action Plan Released

On August 27th, at the 18th International Transportation Technology and Equipment Exhibition "International Salon on New Technologies for Spatial and Temporal Perception in Transportation", the Highway Science Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, together with more than 30 units, jointly launched the Action Plan for Safe Application of Transportation Satellite Navigation, creating a "safe, trustworthy, autonomous, controllable, and coordinated" transportation satellite navigation safety application ecosystem. At the meeting, the "Data Format and Communication Protocol for Safety Services of Transportation Satellite Navigation" was simultaneously released to assist in the safe application of satellite navigation in China's transportation field. It is reported that China's transportation industry is currently building its first spatiotemporal perception related experimental testing base, which is expected to have preliminary testing conditions by 2027. The Global Sustainable Innovation Alliance's spatiotemporal perception professional committee is also being established to jointly promote the development of a new generation of transportation spatiotemporal perception system.
