On June 1st, the Beijing Satellite IoT Industry Development Conference was held in Beijing. At the meeting, the Beijing Space Computing Industry Innovation Center was officially unveiled and established, along with the formation of the Industry Innovation Center Alliance. The center strives to build the first commercially operated space computing cloud in China and even internationally.

It is reported that the mission positioning of the Beijing Space Computing Industry Innovation Center is to connect the industrial chain and coordinate upstream and downstream, that is, to provide systematic solutions to the triple fragmentation (industrial collaboration chain interruption+key technology dispersion+commercial loss closed-loop), and explore the national market system.

In addition, the main tasks of the industry innovation center are divided into six levels: task one is the design and development of space native computing chips at the chip layer; Task 2: High performance and ultra bandwidth space computing power payload at the hardware layer; Task three is the platform layer, which includes satellite platforms and ground verification infrastructure; Task four is the intelligent layer, which involves deploying large models and optimizing software and hardware collaboration; Task five is the research and development of key technologies for the integrated cloud platform of heaven and earth at the network layer; Task six is the application layer, which focuses on satellite application technology innovation and scenario verification.

At present, the organizational structure of the Beijing Space Computing Industry Innovation Center is "physical company+innovation alliance+expert committee". The plan is to reach a computing power scale of 200P by 2027, serving urban governance scenarios, with a computing power reach rate of 15%; By 2029, the space computing power super node will have a computing power scale of 3000P, enabling 6G communication scenarios with a computing power reach rate of 50%; By 2030, the space computing power cluster will reach a computing power scale of 30000 P, achieve computing power service operation, and achieve a computing power reach rate of 90%.
