On July 13th, according to Tianyancha, Shanghai Volant Aviation recently completed its share reform, changing its company name from "Shanghai Volant Aviation Technology Co., Ltd." to "Shanghai Volant Aviation Technology Co., Ltd." At the same time, the registered capital of the company increased from approximately 3.91 million yuan to 27.3 million yuan.
Volant Airlines was established in 2021, with a focus on the research, design, and manufacturing of manned eVTOLs (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft).
In May this year, Vorant Airlines announced that it had completed a round of C+financing of nearly 1 billion yuan. This round of financing was led by Guoshou Kechuang, and co invested by Shanghai Minjin Investment, Weilai Capital, Cornerstone Capital and China Internet Investment Fund, an old shareholder. According to statistics, in the past 5 years since its establishment, Volant Airlines has raised over 5 billion yuan through 13 rounds of market-oriented financing, setting a record for the highest single financing in the domestic manned eVTOL field.
Last October, Volant Airlines completed its first manned flight in the industry, marking the initial validation of its technological maturity and safety.
Volant Airlines is headquartered in Shanghai and based in the core economic circle of the Yangtze River Delta. It has built a development matrix of "headquarters leadership and multi-point support", linked with state-owned shareholders in Beijing, Sichuan, Shenzhen and other places, and provided strong support for domestic aircraft sales, pilot operations, scene landing and infrastructure construction. Currently, the first product VE25-100 has received over 1900 orders, with a total amount of 47.5 billion yuan. It has also carried out multiple industrial cooperation with well-known state-owned enterprises such as China Southern Airlines, Asia Pacific Airlines, and Agricultural Bank Leasing, striving to complete certification and commercial delivery by 2027.
