On the afternoon of May 20th, at the "Global Spatio Temporal Intelligence Expo" (WGDC2026) "Spatio Temporal Intelligence as a Service" forum, Li Liang, Technical Director of JD Maps, revealed that L4 unmanned delivery vehicles, sorting robots and other physical devices will be applied for the first time on a large scale at this year's JD "618" shopping festival. More than 30 cities in Europe will also join the event for the first time.

He believes that the pain points in the logistics industry, such as low cost efficiency, weak internationalization, and insufficient digital intelligence, urgently need to be addressed. These are also the value of smart logistics and the constraints of spatiotemporal intelligent applications. And spatiotemporal intelligence plays a role in solving problems such as inconsistent standards, over 70% of international logistics relying on external factors, and lagging development of fresh food cold chain transportation in terms of timeliness prediction and control, spatial semantic understanding, and operational scheduling.

Li Liang pointed out based on this that JD Logistics is a technology driven supply chain solution and logistics service provider, which has achieved deep application of AI in more than 1000 core scenarios. It is also the world's first enterprise to apply spatiotemporal intelligence and embodied devices to the entire logistics chain. At present, JD Wolf Clan robots cover the entire chain of warehousing, storage, sorting, transportation, and distribution. In the future, a package may be delivered to a large number of users without passing through human hands.

Specifically, Li Liang will elaborate on the three core logistics scenarios of warehousing, transportation, and distribution. At the warehousing level, JD.com has more than 2000 self operated warehouses in China, covering an area of over 30 million square meters, and is actively expanding overseas, with over 1 million square meters in Europe. Every day, hundreds of millions of goods are in and out of the warehouse, and it is necessary to ensure orderly and efficient delivery to meet the requirements of timely performance and product safety; At the transportation level, including different modes such as highways, railways, sea freight, and aviation, factory to warehouse, warehouse to warehouse, and warehouse to terminal are the lifelines of national economic operation. JD Logistics covers 366 cities and regions across the country, including Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, as well as dozens of countries and regions in Europe, America, and Asia. At the delivery level, based on its self built 6 million AOI and 5 billion address database, JD Logistics has achieved nationwide grid management. All PDA devices with a quota of over 100000 yuan are self-developed for scanning and grabbing codes, supporting RTK meter level positioning and accurate upstairs analysis to ensure timely and timely delivery to customers' homes; JD's Lone Wolf autonomous vehicle will also be launched on a large scale during the "618" shopping festival. It is equipped with a new generation of autonomous driving technology, with a sensing range expanded to 1 kilometer. Light map technology can build real-time maps based on on-board sensors on conventional routes, relying only on high-precision maps for safety in characteristic scenarios such as stations and parking spaces. At the same time, it also adopts a dual strategy of end-to-end algorithms and spatiotemporal joint decision-making to ensure safety and passability in complex road conditions.
