On the afternoon of May 20th, Hong Yong'an, Deputy Director of the Greater China Region of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), gave a speech at the "Global Spatio Temporal Intelligence Expo" (WGDC2026) - Global Cooperation Forum for Chinese Enterprises Going Global. EDB is a government agency under the Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry, responsible for planning strategies aimed at strengthening Singapore's position as a global center for business, innovation, and talent.

He stated that Singapore is currently one of the top five exporting countries for high-end products worldwide, mainly including electronic semiconductors, precision engineering, biomedicine, and other products. Last year, Singapore achieved a 5% economic growth in GDP, and this year it is expected to achieve a 2% -4% GDP growth.

He pointed out that in the past year or two, many Chinese companies have chosen Singapore as their first springboard for going global. The reason for this is twofold: firstly, the level of trust in Singapore; Secondly, Singapore's investment in knowledge; Thirdly, Singapore's connectivity; The fourth is the livability of Singapore.

In addition, he shared an overview of Singapore's spatiotemporal intelligence. The National Space Agency of Singapore (NSAS) was established on April 1, 2026, primarily to lead and promote Singapore's aerospace industry; The main areas of satellite applications in Singapore include aviation, maritime, environmental protection, and sustainable development; The Singapore Land Authority (SLA), as the national geospatial and surveying agency of Singapore, leads the development of geospatial data and technology to support the country's needs; The research institution involved in satellite remote sensing is the Centre for Remote Sensing at the National University of Singapore (CRISP), established in 1992. Its mission is to develop advanced remote sensing technologies to support satellite control, scientific, and commercial needs in Singapore and surrounding areas.
