At 3:09 pm on May 27th, the "Feiyan-1" rocket took off from the cold lake in Qinghai province. One minute later, telemetry data showed that the rocket's highest flight altitude was 10555.7 meters above sea level. The ground receiving station successfully received the planned meteorological data, and the rocket launch was a complete success. It is reported that "Feiyan-1" is China's first 10 kilometer level meteorological sounding rocket for middle school students. The rocket has a length of 1.52 meters, a flight altitude of over 8 kilometers, and a maximum flight speed of about 2 Mach. It consists of an aerodynamic structure subsystem, an avionics load subsystem, an engine subsystem, and a ground station subsystem. Its development began in June 2024. At that time, middle school aerospace enthusiasts from Shenzhen, Beijing, Hebei, Shandong and other places conducted centralized learning, scheme demonstration and design. After nearly a year of effort and following the standardized process of rocket development, they have systematically completed the design, experimentation, processing, integration, assembly, and testing of the rocket.
