State Grid Space Technology Corporation's "Space based Insight" remote sensing satellite virtual constellation effectively assists in ensuring power supply during peak summer season

On July 8th, State Grid Electric Power Space Technology Co., Ltd. held a launch meeting for the trial operation of the "Space based Smart Eye" remote sensing satellite virtual constellation, marking the official launch of China's first independently developed remote sensing satellite virtual constellation for power grid operation and maintenance. The "Space based Smart Eye" remote sensing satellite virtual constellation is a data service platform that connects various remote sensing satellite resources and ensures the safe operation of the power grid. It includes five functional modules: remote sensing satellite orbit prediction, data collection, data management, intelligent analysis of results, and data display. It has the ability to coordinate and efficiently process 21 satellite series and 141 optical/SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellites at home and abroad, and supports the control of transmission channels, monitoring and early warning of floods/geological disasters, and post disaster damage assessment at the provincial, fast, and provincial levels. It provides a high timeliness and high-precision spatiotemporal decision-making base for the new power system.
