On August 27th, according to the official website of the School of Cyberspace Security at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, IEEE Fellow、 Zhou Yongxing, a well-known multi antenna (MIMO) expert and 3GPP standard expert in the wireless communication industry, former chief scientist (deputy) of standard patents at Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., and chief expert of Huawei terminal communication standards, has officially joined Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. It is reported that Zhou Yongxing has been appointed as a specially appointed professor at the School of Cyberspace Security, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.

It is reported that Zhou Yongxing graduated from the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University with a bachelor's degree in 1997 and was admitted to the department as a direct doctoral student. In 2009, he joined Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and successively served as the leader of the 3GPP LTE standard group, director of the multi antenna and spectrum capability center, chief expert of terminal communication standards, and deputy chief scientist in the field of standard patents at Huawei.

During his tenure at Huawei, he led multiple major technological breakthroughs in areas such as multi antenna technology, flexible spectrum utilization, AI communication, and direct connection of mobile phones to satellites, successfully promoting the commercialization of products from technical principles and experimental prototypes.
