On July 8th, the "Spatiotemporal Intelligence Empowering Industrial Integration Innovation" themed event, jointly organized by the Chongqing Planning and Natural Resources Bureau and the Chongqing Economic and Information Commission, was held at the Chongqing Institute of Surveying and Mapping Science and Technology. At the event, the achievements of "Chongqing Spatiotemporal Base 2.0" were released, aiming to support the governance of mega cities, industrial digital transformation, and the development of artificial intelligence technology with a higher precision spatial data system.
Li Deren, academician of the CAS Member, CAE Member, and winner of the National Highest Science and Technology Award, attended the event and gave a keynote report. He pointed out that spatiotemporal intelligence is an important force in promoting the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy, and an important support for improving the modernization level of the national governance system. In the future, it will play a more extensive role in key areas such as smart cities, green development, and emergency management.
The relevant person in charge of Chongqing Planning and Natural Resources Bureau stated that it is necessary to strengthen the research and development of core technologies for spatiotemporal intelligence, and provide solid technical support for the spatiotemporal intelligence industry. Accelerate the construction of industrial integration and collaborative innovation, promote the deep integration of surveying and mapping geographic information technology with thousands of industries, and focus on key areas such as urban operation, natural resource management, and industrial upgrading to accelerate the construction of high-quality spatiotemporal foundations.
It is reported that Chongqing Spatiotemporal Base 2.0 is developed under the leadership of Chongqing Institute of Surveying and Mapping Science and Technology. Based on high-precision laser radar, unmanned aerial vehicle scanning, intelligent sensing and other multi-source data fusion technologies, it constructs a three-dimensional point cloud database covering the "9+2" central urban area of the city. The platform has scanned a total of 110000 buildings and over 6000 kilometers of roads, forming a high-precision, timely, and strongly correlated digital spatial data base, supporting core scenarios such as key engineering construction, traffic organization optimization, and emergency plan formulation.
The spatiotemporal foundation is the key cornerstone of urban digitization and intelligence, serving both government decision-making and cognitive training of artificial intelligence models. ”Xue Mei, Vice President of Chongqing Institute of Surveying and Mapping Science and Technology, introduced that the biggest feature of version 2.0 is "machine-readable", providing massive spatiotemporal corpus resources for empowering real-world applications with artificial intelligence.
Next, Chongqing will continue to expand the application scenarios of spatiotemporal intelligence in intelligent manufacturing, smart transportation, green energy and other fields, build a full chain service system of "demand release technology docking project incubation industry landing", and accelerate the construction of a spatiotemporal intelligent industry cluster with urban recognition.
At the practical level, Chongqing's spatiotemporal intelligent technology has been widely applied in various fields such as mega city governance, national spatial planning, intelligent vehicles, carbon measurement, etc. In the construction of Chongqing East Railway Station, 3D replicas of over 1.2 million square meters of heterogeneous buildings and more than 100000 facilities were completed based on the Time Space Base 2.0, supporting the smooth completion and refined management of the project; In the context of urban governance, through the integrated three-dimensional perception system and intelligent monitoring platform of air, space, and earth, more than 1000 infrastructure projects and 200000 monitoring points have been monitored in real-time, effectively enhancing the city's safety and operation capabilities.
In the field of intelligent transportation, Chongqing has built a high-precision road map system of over 500 kilometers, supporting the integrated operation of vehicle road cloud. By relying on spatiotemporal intelligent data, smart cars can achieve more accurate path prediction and automatic avoidance, greatly improving energy efficiency and driving experience. The relevant person in charge of Changan Automobile stated that based on the integration application with the spatiotemporal base, the company's intelligent manufacturing delivery efficiency has been improved by more than 25%. In addition, spatiotemporal intelligence is also accelerating its implementation in fields such as smart agriculture, farmland protection, carbon emission monitoring, and cultural tourism, promoting the deep development of "integration of data and reality".
The attending guests generally believe that Chongqing is the first in the country to build a city level spatiotemporal intelligent infrastructure system, forming a relatively complete "base algorithm platform scene" chain, and exploring an innovative path of empowering high-quality development of the surveying and mapping geographic information industry.
