Recently, a new local brand called "Xtra" has suddenly appeared in the US market. Its products are highly similar to those of DJI, but the price is much cheaper and not affected by tariffs. According to reports, the Xtra brand was launched on Amazon in September, and its products are almost identical to DJI's products in terms of appearance, hardware, and system, with a similarity of up to 99.9999%.
Taking Xtra Muse as an example, this product is almost the same as Dajiang's Osmo Pocket 3 in terms of specifications, but the price is very different. Xtra Muse costs only $499, while Dajiang's Osmo Pocket 3 costs $799. Some media purchased Xtra Muse for testing and found that it has no difference in functionality and experience compared to DJI's Osmo Pocket 3, including startup speed, image quality performance, face tracking performance, heat location, and accessory compatibility. The only exception is that Xtra Muse cannot use DJI's wireless microphone series (Mic 2 and Mic Mini)
Further investigation revealed that the software included with Xtra also had a large number of traces of copying and pasting from DJI code, and even retained the relevant characters of "DJI LightCut" and "Aviox" at 7552 locations.
