On October 9th, it was reported that Bai Yuli, the head of NIO's artificial intelligence platform, had resigned before the National Day holiday. Recently, several core personnel in the intelligent driving business, including Ma Ningning, the head of NIO World Models, and Huang Xin, the head of intelligent driving products, have also resigned.
According to reports, NIO stated that in order to strengthen the absorption of the latest technology in general artificial intelligence and achieve efficient, high-speed, and high-quality delivery of intelligent driving experience, NIO has recently proactively adjusted the organizational structure of its intelligent driving department. By building a "4 × 100 relay baton" model of pre research, mass production, platform replication, and vehicle model replication, NIO will merge the intelligent driving organization with the general artificial intelligence organization to enhance the absorption of general artificial intelligence technology and the efficiency of intelligent driving experience delivery.
It is reported that NIO plans to launch iterative versions of World Model 2.0 on multiple platforms from the end of this year to the first quarter of next year. The company made two important organizational adjustments for intelligent driving last year to promote the transition from traditional modular architecture to end-to-end solutions.
