On September 10th, according to an internal announcement from Geely Group, it was announced that Jike Vehicle Research Institute and Lynk&Co Vehicle Research Institute would be established. The Jike Research Institute covers product lines and vehicle models including Z (Jike 001/009/9X), C (Jike MIX), and M (Jike 007); Link Research Institute covers L (Link 900) and K (Link 08). At this point, Geely Group has vehicle research institutes for brands such as Lynk&Co, Jike, and Galaxy.

The establishment of vehicle research institutes by Jike and Lynk&Co respectively means that after Jike Group is integrated into Geely Group, the two brands will once again operate independently. The integration strategy of Geely Group is roughly clear: Qianli Technology is responsible for the research and development of assisted driving, while Geely Central Research Institute is responsible for the development of intelligent cockpit and platform technology architecture. Both provide technology for various vehicle research institutes; Each vehicle research institute is responsible for the marketing, product definition, interior and exterior project management, and other vehicle development related work of various brands under Geely.

The differentiated positioning of several major brands of Geely has been strengthened: Extreme Krypton positioning is luxurious, ultimate, and technological; Lynk&Co positions itself as trendy, sporty, and individualistic; Galaxy is positioned as a high-value mainstream new energy brand; China Star focuses on energy-saving and intelligent fuel vehicles. Earlier this month, Geely Automobile Holdings Limited held a special shareholders' meeting, and independent shareholders passed the privatization proposal of Jike Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. with a high vote rate of 95.14%. Geely Auto executives said that the delivery of the "big merger" between Geely and Jike is expected to be completed before the end of this year.
