On July 14th, Horizon Robotics, a manufacturer of intelligent driving solutions, announced that the new generation of in vehicle intelligent computing solution for entry-level active safety, the Journey 6B, has been successfully lit up in one go. It only took 23 minutes from power on to 1V output, and the Journey 6B once again refreshed the industry speed of intelligent driving computing solutions lighting up.
According to official statements from Horizon, since its release in 2024, the Horizon Journey 6 series has mass-produced the mid-range Journey 6E/M on multiple mainstream models, and the high-end Journey 6P will also be launched for mass production on Chery models within the year. The successful launch of Journey 6B for the low-end ADAS market marks the maturity of the Horizon Journey 6 series in all stages, accelerating the realization of intelligent driving for all with an efficient computing base.
The AI computing power of Journey 6B is 18 TOPS, thanks to the support of Horizon BPU Nash architecture, Journey 6B can support mainstream algorithms such as Transformer and optical flow, support full stack computing tasks, and "improve computing performance by more than twice".
The high integration design enables the Journey 6B to improve system performance by more than twice compared to the previous generation all-in-one solution on Horizon, reduce system costs by more than 25%, lower system power consumption by more than 30%, and reduce the volume of the all-in-one solution by more than 40%.
In terms of safety, the Journey 6B has complete vehicle safety certification and has passed the industry's largest active safety testing scenario library verification, supporting the latest NCAP regulatory standards.
Currently, multiple collaborations based on Journey 6B are steadily advancing. The new generation multifunctional camera platform developed by Bosch based on the Journey 6B is planned to achieve mass production in mid-2026 and has been designated as a project by several well-known global and local Chinese car companies.
According to Horizon, the computing power of the Journey 6 series products covers 18TOPS~560TOPS, becoming the industry's first fully intelligent driving computing solution. After only 15 months of release, the Journey 6 series achieved "full level clearance".
In the mid-range intelligent driving market, the Journey 6E/M has been designated by over 20 car companies, empowering over 100 smart cars.
The Journey 6P is used in the urban assisted driving market, and the Horizon urban assisted driving solution HSD based on the Journey 6P will also be used as a solution for Chery's "Falcon" and will be globally launched and mass-produced under the Xingtu brand in 2025.
