Recently, the "high-speed stall" incident of Zunjie S800 has attracted attention. Blogger Kim Taesung Oba reported that the newly launched Zunjie S800 suddenly lost power while driving at high speeds. The instrument panel displayed a 0% battery level, but the fuel tank was full (with a range of 773 kilometers). The system frequently issued warnings such as "Please take over immediately" and "ESP not ready". The car owner emphasized that the fuel priority mode has been switched when the battery is at 30%, but the battery is still abnormally depleted. It is not an operational error and they are willing to bear legal responsibility.
After the incident escalated, the HarmonyOS Changchun Jingyue User Center responded that the Zunjie S800 continued to drive after the fuel gauge showed 0, which may trigger the range extender protection mechanism. This mechanism will limit power output and assist driving functions to improve range, and the vehicle can resume normal operation after refueling. The service specialist has contacted the car owner and will handle the issue properly.
Subsequently, the blogger's identity was exposed. Someone pointed out that the blogger is Jin Taicheng, the legal representative of Pengbo Taicheng (Changchun) Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. The company is a supplier under Changchun Fusheng. Previously, Changchun Fusheng and Yanfeng failed to compete for the Wenjie M9 seat project, and later wanted to compete for the Zunjie S800 project, but were kicked out of the S800 supply chain.
If the disclosure is true, there may be potential commercial disputes between the blogger and Huawei and Jianghuai Automobile, and their motives for exposure will be controversial. But Kim Tae sung firmly denied any interest connection to the media, stating that the incident was purely sudden and he had no commercial purpose. He emphasized that he has been a loyal user of Huawei for many years, choosing the Zunjie S800 and recommending it to friends and family because of his trust in the brand. He is just an ordinary consumer who has failed to protect his rights, and posting videos is just to vent his emotions.
