On September 2nd, it was reported that at the Chengdu Auto Show, Li Yunfei, the General Manager of BYD Group's Brand and Public Relations Department, gave a media group interview, during which he talked about the topic of BYD going global. Li Yunfei said that what people have noticed is that BYD's overseas export business has been very strong in the past two to three years. However, BYD has put in a lot of slow work and suffered a lot in the overseas market before, and has actually prepared for this internally for two to three decades.

When talking about BYD's current achievements in overseas markets, Li Yunfei sighed and said that this process was not easy. During the period of 2022-2023, BYD's monthly sales in Germany were less than 100 units. At that time, some domestic self media reported that BYD was "embarrassing" Chinese brands overseas. At that time, everyone felt very uncomfortable, but BYD did not give up. With step-by-step efforts, it quickly won the 100000 vehicle order (six-year term) from Sixt, the world's largest leasing company. As soon as this order came out, many media outlets in Europe were shocked, and some even openly opposed it.

Now BYD has performed very well in some representative overseas markets. For example, in countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore in the Asia Pacific region, achieving the highest sales among all brands (including gasoline and electric vehicles). In Central and South America, such as Brazil and Mexico, growth is also very fast, and BYD has built factories in Brazil. The European market has also undergone significant changes. Three years ago, BYD sold less than 100 units per month in the mainstream markets of England, France, Germany, Italy, and the West. Now, it can basically sell over 3000 units per month, indicating that BYD has truly established itself in these markets.

In addition, BYD will enter the top ten global car manufacturers for the first time in 2023, ranking ninth with sales exceeding 3.02 million. By 2024, BYD's annual sales will climb to 4.27 million vehicles, ranking fifth in the world and becoming a world-class car company.
