The 5th Geo Connect Asia concluded successfully on April 10, 2025 at the Marina Bay Sands Convention and Exhibition Centre in Singapore. This grand event attracted 2930 professionals from 51 countries and regions, once again breaking records and consolidating its important position as a hub for Southeast Asian geospatial technology and cross disciplinary innovation exchange.
Geo Connect Asia 2025 and Digital Construction Asia Drones & Uncrewed Asia and Marine& Hydro Asia is held simultaneously, focusing on the integrated application of geographic information technology in underground, land, ocean, and aerospace scenarios, committed to transforming cutting-edge technology into practical solutions.
The theme of this conference is "Transforming Technology into Solutions: From Underground, Land and Ocean to Sky", with seven conference stages and 177 industry experts sharing insights. More than 30% of the attendees came from ASEAN member countries, demonstrating a strong momentum of regional coordinated development.
At this exhibition, several Chinese geospatial technology companies and research institutions actively participated in the conference and exchange, showcasing their technological achievements in high-precision surveying, geological monitoring, remote sensing, and spatial data platforms.
Among them, Guangzhou Jinko Information Technology Co., Ltd. (GINTEC) showcased its independently developed surveying hardware equipment and intelligent software system, covering key scenarios such as surveying engineering, geological monitoring, and smart city construction, which has received widespread attention from audiences in Southeast Asia and around the world.
In addition, ComNav Technology in Shanghai showcased its various GNSS receivers, laser scanners, GNSS tablets, and machine guidance systems to meet diverse needs from high-precision positioning to mobile measurement.
There were also important voices from the academic community of geographic information in China at the conference. Professor Huang Xianfeng from Wuhan University participated in the conference discussion as a special guest speaker, sharing his cutting-edge research and practical experience in spatial information science and its regional applications.
The active participation of Chinese representatives fully demonstrates the open attitude and technological confidence of China's geospatial industry and academic community in continuously promoting international cooperation and participating in regional innovation ecology, and also lays the foundation for future exchanges and cooperation in ASEAN and wider regions.
Hoang Ngoc Lam, Director General of the Vietnam Surveying and Geographic Information Agency, said, "Geo Connect Asia provides us with a highly valuable international platform. We are very grateful for the warm reception and rich exchanges from the organizers, and look forward to continued cooperation in the future. ”
Will Cavendish, Global Digital Head of Arup, an international engineering consulting giant, pointed out that "Geo Connect Asia is an important field for understanding regional market dynamics and exploring opportunities for cooperation. The conference brings together governments, enterprises, and technology ecosystems from various countries, providing an ideal scenario for innovation implementation and business expansion. ”
Saiful Nizam Mustafa, Head of Geographic Information Department at Petronas Carigali, also said, "As an advisor to this conference, I am pleased to see that the energy industry's participation in the field of geographic information is constantly deepening. This' Geographic Information Community ASEAN Lecture 'has established an effective bridge between us and emerging technology providers
At the successful conclusion of this exhibition, over 25 companies have confirmed their participation in Geo Connect Asia 2026, which will be held from March 31 to April 1, 2026 at the Sands Expo Centre in Singapore. Next year, the organizers will also launch a new sub brand - Ocean Connect Asia, focusing on ocean surveying and autonomous surface/underwater system applications, to build a professional communication platform for the regional "blue technology" ecosystem.
