On the afternoon of May 21st, Jiang Guofei, Chief Scientist of China Electronics, gave a speech at the 2025 Global Spatio Temporal Intelligence Conference (WGDC2025), stating that the core goal of spatiotemporal intelligence is how to extract information value from the spatiotemporal dimension, support intelligent analysis and decision-making of complex systems in complex environments, such as for complex systems such as nuclear power plants, spacecraft, aircraft, and various factories. The sensors in these scenarios are essentially variables that change over time and are dynamic data generators that run continuously.
Jiang Guofei believed that only by using massive time series to automatically model complex systems, based on mathematical models, can various spatiotemporal intelligent reasoning, decision-making, and applications be made. Essentially, time series data does not require specialized knowledge and relies more on data and large-scale computing to automatically identify complex relationships and perform related detection and fault analysis. For example, a nuclear power plant has large-scale sensors that collect data together, and local operators perform various analyses on them. Based on fault diagnosis reasoning methods and spatiotemporal intelligence reasoning methods, it is possible to identify where there is a problem.
