On July 29th, according to blogger @ Similu sharing in Bologna, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra car appeared at the Ferrari factory and was driven from inside the factory. The blogger stated that it has been confirmed that the SU7 Ultra is an official purchase by Ferrari for testing and developing the next generation of pure electric platforms. Previously, Ferrari's factory had only produced a test car for the Porsche Taycan. In addition, blogger @ Splitting You Falling Mountain also posted that they recently captured a disguised test vehicle at the factory entrance. They communicated with the on-site master and according to the markings on the vehicle, it was a pure electric testing platform with a fake exhaust pipe. According to internal personnel visiting the factory, Ferrari intends to announce its first pure electric model by the end of this year.

As previously reported, on the evening of June 26th of this year, during the car launch event of Xiaomi's Human Car Home ecosystem, Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun announced the latest progress of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra's New North lap speed: the SU7 Ultra prototype car once again broke the Nurburgring North Loop prototype car lap speed record, with a time of 6 minutes and 22.091 seconds, ranking third in the world on the New North lap speed chart.

Previously, foreign media reported that due to weak demand for high-performance luxury electric vehicles, Ferrari has postponed the release of its second pure electric vehicle model from 2026 to at least 2028. This Italian luxury car manufacturer has been selling hybrid models since 2019 and is preparing to launch its first pure electric vehicle (EV) in the spring of next year through a "three-step" process, with the first customers expected to complete delivery in October 2026.
