Support performance units to organize excellent performing arts works to perform or participate in overseas exhibitions, encourage Guangdong produced performing arts masterpieces to tour overseas, and provide up to 5 million yuan in support funds for those who meet the conditions. Encourage the combination of local natural environment, folk culture, etc., to create immersive and real-life new forms of performances and on-site performances with Guangdong characteristics.
Give full play to the leading advantage of Guangdong's performing arts equipment, encourage performance venues and tourist attractions to better utilize new technologies, applications, and equipment such as VR, AI, AR, and metaverse, and innovate the forms and content of performing arts. Support performing arts enterprises to collaborate with technology companies and research institutions to jointly develop new technologies and products suitable for the performing arts industry. Support performing arts enterprises to explore and develop low altitude performing arts products in conjunction with low altitude cultural tourism pilot projects.
Encourage various regions to revitalize idle spaces such as abandoned factories and buildings, activate and utilize public spaces such as commercial complexes, theaters and cinemas, park blocks, parks and scenic areas, cultural relics units, etc., develop experiential, interactive, and immersive performing arts projects, and create a batch of "small and beautiful" and "small and new" new performing arts spaces. Encourage new spaces for performing arts to actively innovate in performance settings, performance experiences, consumer formats, and other aspects.
It is reported that Guangdong is the province with the largest cultural industry scale in China, and its total cultural industry scale has ranked first in the country for 22 consecutive years.
In 2024, the operating revenue of cultural enterprises above designated size in Guangdong Province will reach 2.5 trillion yuan. In the cultural field, new quality productivity continues to develop and grow, with a revenue of 915 billion yuan from new cultural formats, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%. It has formed strong competitive advantages in multiple fields such as digital creativity, animation and games, online audio-visual, and digital cultural manufacturing. For example, the "Guangfu Menghua Lu" VR large space project won the 2024 Guangdong Province Smart Tourism Quality Project award.

In March, the first immersive aerospace science popularization themed exhibition in China, the "Lunar Exploration Program Aerospace Exhibition," opened at Wanda Plaza in Longgang, Shenzhen.
