Recently, Xiaomi's official website and app ordering page have uniformly modified the wording related to intelligent driving, renaming "intelligent driving" to "assisted driving". Among them, the Xiaomi Pilot Pro (without LiDAR) equipped on the Xiaomi SU7 Standard Edition has been renamed as "Xiaomi Assisted Driving Pro", previously known as "Xiaomi Intelligent Driving Pro". The Xiaomi HAD (with LiDAR) equipped on the Xiaomi SU7 Pro and Xiaomi SU7 Max has been renamed as "Xiaomi end-to-end assisted driving", previously known as "Xiaomi Smart Driving Max. According to Xiaomi's official statement, end-to-end assisted driving supports parking space to parking space and can be used immediately upon boarding.
On April 30th, Yu Chengdong, Executive Director of Huawei and Chairman of Terminal BG, sent a popular science video about an intelligent assisted driving car that has no eyes and how it detects and avoids obstacles. In the video, Yu Chengdong did not use the term "intelligent driving", but instead replaced it with intelligent assisted driving, which he had previously referred to as "intelligent driving".
According to media reports, during the May Day holiday in 2025, visits were made to several popular new energy brand stores and it was found that the once popular slogan of "smart driving" is gradually fading out of the core language of car companies' product promotion, and even becoming a hidden vocabulary of "you ask me before I say". Except for a very small number of stores that still use "intelligent driving" as their promotional slogan, most car companies such as Ideal, Xiaomi, NIO, Avita, and Xiaopeng have undergone significant changes in their product promotion.
