Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: By 2028, a preliminary standard system will be established to support the innovative development of the metaverse industry

On December 12th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology publicly solicited opinions on the "Guidelines for the Construction of a Comprehensive Standardization System for the Metaverse Industry (2026 Edition)". By 2028, more than 20 national and industry standards will be formulated, and a preliminary standard system will be established to support the innovative development of the metaverse industry. By 2030, more than 50 national and industry standards will be formulated, and a batch of key standards that support the high-quality development of future industries will be moderately advanced. The supply of international standards for the metaverse will be accelerated, and the globalization of the metaverse industry will be promoted.
