On August 28th, it was reported that domestic assisted driving has undergone several years of development and has switched to multiple different routes. From the initial high-precision maps to BEV bird's-eye view, and then to map free city opening, the hottest trend of 2024 is undoubtedly the "end-to-end big model". Now, with the entry of Ideal, Xiaopeng, and Yuanrong, "VLA" has become one of the mainstream routes.

Recently, Jin Yuzhi, CEO of Huawei Intelligent Automotive Solutions BU, stated in an interview that "Huawei will not take the path of VLA. We believe that this path may seem like a trick, but it is not actually the path towards true autonomous driving. Huawei values WA (World Action) more, which is the world action and eliminates the language link in between. ”Jin Yuzhi said that this path currently looks very difficult, but it can achieve true autonomous driving.

He introduced that WA is to directly control the car through behavioral input or information input such as vision, rather than converting various information into language and then controlling the car through a language model. Huawei values WA more, and this path may seem very difficult at present, but it can achieve true autonomous driving. ”Jin Yuzhi asserted.

Jin Yuzhi also mentioned that Huawei's plans for assisted driving and intelligent cockpit are: to enable assisted driving to have high-speed L3 capability and urban L4 pilot capability by 2026, pilot unmanned mainline logistics and large-scale commercial use of urban L4 by 2027, and strive to achieve large-scale commercial use of unmanned mainline logistics by 2028.
