Recently, according to multiple sources, Huawei will officially release a new cooperation model with car companies within the year. Unlike the identity of a "full stack technology supplier" in the HI model and the "smart car selection" path dominated by Huawei's terminal brand marketing, the new model aims to build a collaborative architecture led by car companies and deeply embedded by Huawei, involving multiple dimensions such as intelligent development, ecological connectivity, and market planning.
Although insiders have not disclosed the official name of the new model, the experimental term "HI Plus" has already appeared in some collaborative projects. Among them, Dongfeng Mengshi is regarded as a typical pilot of this path. This M817 model, positioned in the off-road market, is equipped with five major technical modules including Huawei Qiankun ADS 4 advanced intelligent driving, HarmonyOS cockpit 5, Qiankun car cloud, Qiankun vehicle control, and Whale mud signal system. It is currently the off-road model with the highest "Chinese content". It is worth noting that Huawei has also issued a sales "military order" for this model. However, even so, in the eyes of insiders, this is only an intermediate stage of the transition from HI mode to the new mode.
The reason for this is that the Mengshi M817 only started cooperating with Huawei in the later stage of product development. Although the integration depth has been expanded as much as possible, it has not achieved joint definition and development from scratch. It is reported that the planning, marketing, and data collaboration of Mengshi's subsequent products may fully shift towards this new model.
