Previously, Xiaomi's first AI glasses were officially released at the end of June this year, priced from 1999 yuan and available in three frame options, supporting both offline and online lens matching; Equipped with a 12MP lens, open headphones, Super Love, and an optional electrochromic lens version.
According to the latest news on July 31, during the "ChinaJoy front dish" Qualcomm Snapdragon Game Technology Awards, Zhang Lei, vice president of Xiaomi Group's mobile phone department and general manager of wearable department, made a speech on the stage, revealing that the Alipay "look" scanning payment function of Xiaomi AI glasses will be launched around September.
According to Xiaomi's official user guide, users wearing Xiaomi AI glasses do not need to take out their phones and softly say "Xiao Ai classmate, scan the code to pay" to complete the payment. This function supports Alipay merchant collection code, personal collection code, order code and some aggregation codes. If scanning the code involves commodity selection, information entry and other functions, you cannot use glasses to pay directly.
Zhang Lei also stated that Xiaomi AI glasses are equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 chip, which enables first person camera functionality.
According to previous reports, the first generation Snapdragon AR1 platform was specifically designed and optimized for heat dissipation limitations in terms of power consumption, and can be used for lightweight smart glasses.
This platform can support shooting, sharing, or live streaming directly from the glasses side, thereby helping users free their hands. Not only that, the terminal side AI can also provide personal assistant experiences such as sound quality enhancement, visual search, and real-time translation. In addition, the platform supports visual head up display, which enables seamless integration of content consumption, including videos, with the user's field of view.
