On August 1st, Bloomberg published a blog post yesterday (July 31st), reporting that Manus expects to launch the "Wide Research" feature as early as this week and will launch a top tier subscription with the feature, priced at $199 per month, which is the company's biggest update since launching its AI agent platform in March.

It is reported that the "extensive research" function supports assigning tasks to dozens of collaborative AI agents, enabling larger and deeper research and enabling Manus to simultaneously process large amounts of data entries.

According to informed sources, users can perform tasks that are difficult for other AI agents, such as OpenAI's Deep Research, to handle through this feature, such as generating 50 poster designs, ranking in the top 100 MBA programs globally, or analyzing over 1000 stocks.

However, Bloomberg has not been able to immediately verify these claims and has requested the company's comment via email, although a spokesperson for Manus did not respond before publishing.

Manus previewed a technology called "General Artificial Intelligence Agent" in March this year, which can perform network-based tasks based on basic instructions, from screening resumes to creating travel itineraries.

Insiders revealed that co-founder Peak Ji plans to showcase Wide Research through video, just like when he first launched Manus.
