Li Xiaowen Remote Sensing Award Announcement

The "Li Xiaowen Remote Sensing Award" is used to reward outstanding researchers and young students who have made significant innovations in remote sensing science theory, methods, and applications, and have made outstanding contributions to the scientific and technological progress of the entire remote sensing industry. It is selected every two years, and the "Li Xiaowen Remote Sensing Application Award" will be added in 2023.

The selection process for the Li Xiaowen Remote Sensing Award will begin in January 2025. As of March 12, 2025, a total of 156 application materials have been received from 73 research institutes, universities, government departments, companies, and other units across the country. Among them, there are 27 "Li Xiaowen Remote Sensing Science Awards", 13 "Li Xiaowen Remote Sensing Application Awards", 87 "Li Xiaowen Remote Sensing Science Youth Awards" (Young Scholars), and 29 "Li Xiaowen Remote Sensing Science Youth Awards" (Students). According to the "Li Xiaowen Fund Management Measures" and the "Li Xiaowen Remote Sensing Award" reward measures, the Li Xiaowen Fund Council is responsible for organizing the evaluation. After strict letter evaluation and meeting evaluation, the list of award winners for each award is selected (see attachment), which is now publicly announced to the society for a period of 10 days. If there are any objections, they can be raised to the evaluation team of the "Li Xiaowen Remote Sensing Award" through letters, phone calls, visits, and other forms.
