On June 20th, it was learned from multiple sources that Qiu Hualiang, one of the three giants of DJI R&D, and Gong Ming, the head of the Shanghai Tu Chuan team, have recently resigned.

Multiple sources have revealed that Qiu Hualiang may start a business, and he has been quite low-key since leaving, almost refusing contact from investment institutions. Gong Ming may join a leading 3D printing company.

It is understood that DJI's complete machines have been divided into four product lines since 2016, namely the professional level "Wu" Inspire, the high-end "Elf" Phantom series, the mid-range "Yu" Mavic, and the low-end "Xiao" Spark.

At that time, Qiu Hualiang was in charge of the Phantom series, and he, along with the other three product line leaders Zhao Tao, Tao Ye, and Zhou Guyue, were known as the "Four Product Managers" within DJI. Prior to this, he was a camera developer for ZTE smartphones and had many years of work experience.

Gong Ming and Tao Ye, the head of the Mavic series, jointly created products such as the Mavic series, and now the two are extremely familiar old partners. Based on this relationship, it seems to be in line with the recent introduction of a DJI personnel at the executive level of the company founded by the latter.

Gong Ming joined DJI in 2014 and worked in Philips' chip division (later independent NXP). At that time, DJI searched for many people to develop its own chips, and finally found Gong Ming. After joining DJI, Gong Ming was responsible for chip and image transmission business and served as the general manager of DJI Shanghai branch.
