On July 16th, it was reported that Li Haonan, a core veteran of DJI's flight system technology center, officially resigned from DJI in early April and has recently joined Miaodong Technology. He is responsible for the research and development department together with Miaodong Technology co-founder and CTO Yang Shuo.
Previously, Li Haonan was the head of the flight system technology center team. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong and has been responsible for embedded and testing work in multiple departments such as vision, flight control, navigation, and flight systems. He has reported to Liu Ang, Yang Zhenfei, and others. According to insiders, as early as the end of last year when Yang Shuo and Gao Jianrong were preparing to start a business, Yang Shuo had already extended an olive branch to Li Haonan and reached a preliminary cooperation intention.
It is reported that Yang Shuo and Li Haonan have a close relationship. They entered DJI at the same time in 2015 and were later assigned to the flight control project team together. At that time, Yang Shuo was in charge of algorithms and Li Haonan was in charge of embedded systems, establishing a very deep friendship. In addition, Gao Jianrong, founder and CEO of Miaodong Technology, was also a colleague of Yang Shuo during his time in DJI.
In April of this year, Miaodong Technology announced that it had received tens of millions of dollars in angel round financing. Multiple insiders have revealed to Jingxi that Miaodong Technology has been highly sought after by capital this year, with the first round of financing reaching 50-60 million US dollars, and the new round of financing reportedly reaching 200-300 million US dollars.
