According to a Chinese mobile terminal company, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+satellite messaging version is equipped with China Mobile's self-developed Beidou communication and navigation fusion chip (ZW8000s) for the first time.
This achievement marks the successful landing of China's independently developed Beidou-3 integrated communication and navigation technology on mass consumer mobile terminals, and is also a major breakthrough for China Mobile in the research and development of satellite communication and navigation integrated terminal technology. Prior to this, Beidou communication and navigation fusion technology was mostly applied in industry fields, facing challenges such as high power consumption and signal interference. China Mobile has established a special R&D team and successfully solved these problems, realizing the dual function of "Beidou short message communication+Beidou navigation positioning". This not only ensures the high performance of the chip, but also significantly reduces costs, meeting the mass production needs of consumer terminals.
As the first commercial mobile phone to integrate the ZW8000s chip, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+integrates the "navigation+communication" dual core capabilities of the Beidou system into consumer electronics devices. In addition to supporting regular text messages, this model also supports two types of rich text, voice and image. Users can still communicate with the outside world in extreme environments without ground network coverage, providing strong support for outdoor exploration, emergency rescue and other scenarios.
