Recently, at the 2025 World New Energy Vehicle Conference, Bosch China President Xu Daquan talked about the possibility of achieving equal rights for intelligent driving in China soon, as the market competition has greatly reduced the cost of autonomous driving. Xu Daquan said, "When it comes to self driving equality, there is a problem in between, which is how to reduce the overall cost of autonomous driving so that more cars can use it. But at this point, I think whether self driving equality can really be achieved in China is a false proposition, because it can definitely be achieved

Let me give you two examples. One is a single product example, Xiaomi's 100 inch TV. When it started preparing, the price of this TV in the market was 250000 to 300000 yuan. In 3 to 5 years, you can work it up to 50000, then 29000, 19000, and now I think you can buy a huge 100 inch TV with just over 19000. So in terms of cost reduction, I don't know why this market is so fast. Another industry is that Chinese manufacturers have actually spent 7 to 10 years making photovoltaic panels and modules at a cabbage price, so now 80% of global exports come from China. ”Xu Daquan stated.

So in this aspect (cost reduction), I think China has a natural advantage. But I think in terms of automation, the cost of the entire hardware and even software technology will be greatly reduced, so I think soon you will see more cars being able to use this advanced driving assistance system. ”Xu Daquan stated.
