Taibo Network 22 May 2025 11:05

On May 21st, the WGDC25 Global Spatiotemporal Intelligence Conference, guided by Zhongguancun Science City and hosted by China's leading technology industry service organization Taibo Network, grandly kicked off in Beijing.

The theme of this conference is "Reconstructing the World with Spatiotemporal Intelligence". On the first day, it attracted over a thousand top scientists, industry elites, investors, and technology developers from the fields of commercial aerospace, low altitude economy, satellite applications, map and location services, smart travel, VR large space, geographic spatial intelligence, and other related industries in the space-time intelligence industry. They gathered together to provide innovative insights for the cross-border integration and development of industries in the changing era, and to explore the evolution and leap of AI+space-time technology. Li Deren, winner of the National Highest Science and Technology Award and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, attended the opening ceremony as the honorary chairman of the WGDC conference and delivered a keynote speech.

The Global Spatiotemporal Intelligence Conference has been upgraded from the WGDC Conference, which has been successfully held for thirteen consecutive sessions and is known as the "innovation benchmark" for technology and industry. The conference takes "cross-border, innovative, and global" as its genes, promoting the deep integration of strategic emerging industries such as spatial-temporal information, commercial aerospace, and low altitude economy with technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things, empowering thousands of industries. In his opening speech, Liu Yuzhang, founder and chairman of Taibo Network, mentioned that in 2025, WGDC will adopt the "Global Spatio Temporal Intelligence Conference" as its new Chinese name, which not only expresses Taibo Network's comprehensive embrace of AI, but also hopes to collide and exchange the resources it sees, links, and trends it perceives globally with the industry.

Academician Li Deren stated in his keynote speech "Spatiotemporal Intelligence Helps Sustainable Development Goals" that there is spatial-temporal intelligence in any material world. The acquisition, processing, information extraction, and knowledge mining of spatiotemporal data need to move towards intelligence, which includes multi-level spatiotemporal intelligence such as deep space, aerospace, open space, underwater, and socio-economic aspects. The use of communication and remote computing intelligent sensing network technology to study global spatiotemporal intelligence, from isolated satellites to Earth observation of the brain, has become an inevitable trend in the industry. In addition, Academician Li Deren revealed that the Eastern Insight Constellation aims to complete 252 satellites in orbit by 2030, including 144 high-resolution satellites, 100 radar satellites, and 4 hyperspectral satellites, integrating high-precision remote sensing, large-scale imaging, globally leading on-board computing power, and multi-mode communication to solve the observation of the Earth.

Professor Huang Tiejun's team from Beijing Zhiyuan Artificial Intelligence Research Institute gave a keynote speech, stating that artificial intelligence is currently in a stage of development from information intelligence to physical intelligence. The emerging embodied intelligence and spatiotemporal intelligence belong to the larger category of physical intelligence, and their prospects will become increasingly broad. From 'static integration' to 'dynamic emergence'. In the future, it is expected to achieve true AGI through life simulating brain like intelligence. At the same time, he shared relevant research on pulse cameras, pointing out that pulse Gaussian splashing (SpikeGS) greatly improves training and rendering efficiency, and has been validated for the first time in outdoor open scenes and real high-speed scenes. The results show that pulse cameras can not only be well applied to high-speed scene 3D reconstruction, but also have the potential to become an indispensable part of real-time 3D reconstruction.

Chen Jinpei, CEO of Qianxun, pointed out in his speech that the greatest imagination of spatiotemporal intelligence should not only stay in the high-altitude satellites thousands of miles away, but also in the digital world and fireworks life of the interconnected world. With the wave of AI, the development speed of spatiotemporal intelligence has exceeded any period. For robots, artificial intelligence is the "brain" responsible for thinking and decision-making, while spatiotemporal intelligence is the "cerebellum" responsible for perception and action. In the wave of digital intelligence, computing network, space-time network and Internet are three important infrastructures. The spatiotemporal network is the data that generates the physical world, the Internet transmits the data, and the computing network processes the data. The three forms a closed loop between the entire digital world and the real world infrastructure.

Andrei Iordache, a senior industry solution expert at HERE Technologies, shared the intersection and integration of artificial intelligence and location intelligence in the automotive field from a global perspective. In Andrei Iordache's view, the intersection of artificial intelligence and location intelligence will shape the future of software defined vehicles, with virtual scene vehicle testing built on real-world models, immersive digital cockpit based vehicle user experience and functionality, continuously evolving the lifecycle of vehicles. The constantly changing global automotive landscape has changed the traditional "hardware prototype before software development" automotive development process, making vehicles increasingly a product of ecosystem collaboration rather than independent construction of isolated participants. Host manufacturers, software companies, location intelligence companies, etc. need to work closely together.

At the opening ceremony, Tao Chuang, Global Expert Advisory Committee Member of Taibo Think Tank and Founder and Chairman of Weizhi Technology, made a heavyweight debut of the "2025 Spatio Temporal Intelligence Industry Trend Report". This is also the tenth consecutive year that Zhizhuo Group and Taibo Think Tank have jointly released an industry trend report. From the dimensions of technology view, world view and model view, we shared the changes from the information age to the Internet age and then to the intelligent age, and expounded the three elements (technology, scenario and model) and four variables (AI, terminal, scenario and business model) in the intelligent age. Tao Chuang also shared the world's first Agent intelligent agent based on spatial models, DeepLocal, previously released by Weizhi, and proposed the Large Spatial Model (LSM), which is a spatio-temporal basic model that aggregates various data resources such as sky, space, earth, and field. Through spatio-temporal indexing (coordinate units), it organizes various data such as people, earth, enterprises, events, and objects to build a more generalized spatio-temporal knowledge base.

The grand finale of the opening ceremony was the X-AI Summit Dialogue on "Evolution and Reflection of AI Driven Technology", which was full of excitement. All the opening ceremony experts gathered together to explore the boundaries of spatiotemporal intelligence, from the similarities and differences between artificial intelligence and human intelligence, the connections and differences between spatiotemporal intelligence and spatial intelligence, to the prediction of the future paradigm of AI driven industry.

On the first day of WGDC25 on May 21st, in addition to heavyweight topics such as spatiotemporal intelligence, urban computing, world models, going global, AI maps, intelligent constellations, and embodied intelligence, there were also parallel activities such as spatiotemporal intelligence developer forum, HERE Directions Beijing Intelligent Driving Summit, AI-X Youth Forum, and closed door meetings, focusing on the forefront of technology, industry trends, industry applications, ecological collaboration, and Chinese enterprises going global, with a variety of highlights. On May 22nd, multiple themed forums were held, including commercial aerospace, satellite applications, low altitude economy, map and location services, cultural and tourism VR, and geospatial intelligence, to explore key elements that will lead and drive the industry in the next decade, as well as how new track opportunities can break through from technology to business.

The WGDC25 Global Spatio Temporal Intelligence Conference, which lasts for two days, is jointly organized by Taibo Network, the world's leading spatiotemporal intelligence technology company Qianxun Location, the world's leading location data and technology platform, HERE Technologies, a pioneer in map and positioning technology, and Weizhi Technology, a leading enterprise in the spatiotemporal AI field.
