On June 26th, Alibaba Group released its annual report for the fiscal year 2025, revealing the latest list of partners. The total number of partners has decreased from 26 in the previous year to 17, including Fan Luyuan, Jiang Fan, Jiang Fang, Jiang Jiangwei, Liu Zhenfei, Jack Ma, Shao Xiaofeng, Tong Wenhong, Cai Chongxin, Wan Lin, Wang Lei, Wen Jia, Wu Yongming, Wu Zemin, Yu Siying, Zhang Jianfeng, and Zheng Junfang. After this adjustment, the partners are all more focused on frontline business leaders, while the core management team is further rejuvenated.
The 9 people who withdrew from the list of partners are: Dai Shan, Fang Yongxin, Peng Lei, Song Jie, Sun Lijun, Wu Wei, Yu Yongfu, Zhang Yong, and Zhu Shunyan. Among them, some personnel are currently not in frontline positions, and some have already left Alibaba company. It is understood that the list of Alibaba partners is adjusted annually according to changes in job positions or age.
In recent years, Alibaba partners have been continuously slimming down. In 2022, the management of Ant Group withdrew from the Alibaba partner organization, and 9 partners also withdrew that year. In the following years, some second tier partners gradually withdrew. According to publicly available information, Alibaba had a peak of 38 partners during its peak period, but currently has 17, a decrease of 21. The evolution of the list of partners also reflects to some extent the current market environment in which Alibaba operates.
On September 10, 2013, Jack Ma disclosed the partnership system of Alibaba Group in an internal email. Jack Ma stated, "We may not necessarily care about who controls this company, but we care about the people who control this company. They must be partners who uphold and inherit Alibaba's mission culture. We don't care where we go public, but we care where we go public. We must support this culture of openness, innovation, responsibility, and long-term development
