On May 12th, according to media reports, Huawei and Ubiquitous Technology officially signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement in Shenzhen. Huawei will rely on its full stack AI infrastructure capabilities to support Ubiquitous in building a embodied intelligent innovation center, and create a joint demonstration solution of "humanoid robots+smart factories" based on scenarios, and cooperate in the development of home service humanoid robots (including bipedal and wheeled humanoid robots) and other aspects.
In fact, Huawei has been laying out in the field of robotics for a long time. In April 2022, Huawei signed a cooperation agreement with Datu Robotics, officially entering the field of humanoid robots. In June 2024, Huawei and Leju Robotics jointly launched the "Kuafu" humanoid robot, which is equipped with the Huawei Pangu large model and has certain intelligent interaction capabilities. It can realize home scene applications such as item recognition and Q&A interaction.
In 2025, Huawei's patent application for "a dexterous hand applied to humanoid robots" was published, which can achieve collaborative operation between the two hands of humanoid robots, improving the flexibility and efficiency of manual operation. In addition, Huawei has obtained multiple patent authorizations in the field of robotics, including "quadruped robot control methods, devices, quadruped robots, and computer-readable storage media", covering key areas such as robot motion control and perception decision-making.
