On September 19th, it was reported that Wang Jun, former vice president and CTO of Zebra Intelligence, has joined BYD's intelligent cockpit team and is responsible for cockpit architecture and map development, reporting to Li Feng, director of the Intelligent Software Development Center. In order to promote the integration of cabin driving, BYD integrated the assisted driving and intelligent cockpit teams under the Automotive New Technology Research Institute in April this year, with Li Feng responsible for the software development of the two major businesses. Yang Dongsheng, Senior Vice President of BYD, revealed that in the future, they will launch the One Board cabin driving integrated product.

BYD's assisted driving business has a team of nearly 5000 people and has recently welcomed several high-level technical talents. The "Eye of the Gods" assisted driving system is divided into three platforms: Platform A is equipped with 2 Nvidia Orin-X chips and 3 LiDAR, used to look up at the brand; The B platform is equipped with 1-2 laser radars and a single Orin-X chip for the Tengshi and BYD brands; The C platform adopts Nvidia Orin-N or Horizon Journey 6 chips, which are used for Dynasty and Ocean models, and can achieve navigation assisted driving functions on highways and urban expressways. BYD is still exploring the VLA architecture and is in the small team pre research stage. The production time depends on the indicators, performance, and experience of the VLA.
