From September 10-12, 2025, the China International Optoelectronics Expo (CIOE), which is regarded as an optical barometer, will be held in Shenzhen. Lixun Precision participated in the exhibition and showcased two AR smart glasses with display and shooting functions.

It is reported that both AR glasses adopt the Qualcomm AR1+Hengxuan 2800 chip solution, run Android and RTOS dual systems, and are equipped with the latest generation of PVG technology optical waveguide from Southeast University. One is a single green display and the other is a full-color display (there are two versions of full-color display, one version is equipped with PVG technology optical waveguide and the other is a surface relief SRG optical waveguide), which can be regarded as the top configuration in the industry's optical waveguide display AR smart glasses.

PVG technology, also known as polarization holographic grating technology, is significantly superior to current mainstream surface relief grating (SRG) technology in terms of display performance and overall cost, and has strong commercial potential. In recent years, AR displays have shown broad application prospects and have received high attention from both academia and industry. At present, Southeast University, Nanjing Parallel World, and Gudong Technology are mainly laying out PVG technology in China.

In September 2025, the New Display and Visual Perception Research Team of Southeast University and Nanjing Parallel Vision Technology Co., Ltd. achieved a major breakthrough in the field of polarization body holographic grating (PVG) technology, successfully developing a new generation of PVG optical waveguide AR imaging scheme, and achieving systematic upgrades in material system, preparation process, and design simulation. The second-generation single green AR glasses "Skylark 2.0" and the new generation PVG full-color AR glasses exhibited by Lite On Precision this time are equipped with this PVG optical waveguide.

Driven by PVG technology innovation, the "Skylark 2.0" single green AR glasses have achieved a leapfrog improvement in optical performance. Compared with the first generation "Skylark" released in 2024, "Skylark 2.0" has increased brightness by 100%, uniformity by 5 times, and multiple core optical indicators have reached industry-leading levels. Its imaging performance and outdoor visibility are significantly enhanced under high ambient light conditions, effectively solving the pain points of insufficient brightness, high power consumption, and short battery life faced by AR devices in outdoor applications.

In addition, "Skylark 2.0" also integrates high-precision cameras and innovatively explores visual solutions suitable for myopic users. The scheme has completed technical validation and preliminary testing, laying an important foundation for the integration of AR devices and vision correction functions.
