Dai Jifeng, a renowned young AI scientist in China and associate professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University, recently joined Shanda Network, a subsidiary of Chen Tianqiao, and is preparing to establish a new AI startup company. It is reported that Shanda founder Chen Tianqiao has high hopes for the new AI startup led by Dai Jifeng, and has identified the company's three major research and development priorities: AI business decision-making intelligence, content distribution that breaks through algorithm cocoons, and AI services for aging and youth development. Chen Tianqiao also promised that half of the profits from all artificial intelligence companies incubated internally by Shanda will be distributed to the team.

Teacher Dai did not join the existing department of Shanda, but a newly established company. ”An insider from Shanda stated. Dai Jifeng stated that the company's goal is to achieve AGI (General Artificial Intelligence) and will conduct fundamental research around AGI. According to sources who have received information from Modern Jifeng, the company established by Dai Jifeng is related to quantitative trading and may have a similar path to DeepSeek founder Liang Wenfeng's entry into artificial intelligence from quantitative trading company Fantasia. However, both Dai Jifeng himself and Shanda denied this.

According to public information, Dai Jifeng received his undergraduate degree from the Department of Automation at Tsinghua University and obtained his doctoral degree in 2014. He also visited the UCLA laboratory at the University of California, Los Angeles in the United States. He has successively served as Chief Research Manager of Visual Computing Group of Microsoft Research Asia and Executive Research Director of Shangtang Technology Research Institute. Chen Tianqiao was listed as the richest person in China for two consecutive years on the wealth list in 2004 and 2005. In recent years, Chen Tianqiao and his wife have invested 1 billion US dollars to establish the Tianqiao Neuroscience Research Institute (TCCI), which focuses on neuroscience research and applications.
