On August 13th, it was reported that Momenta's self-developed assisted driving chip has recently been lit up and started in car testing, with its performance mainly benchmarking mainstream assisted driving chips such as Nvidia Orin-X and Qualcomm 8650. According to informed sources, the hardware interface of the chip is similar to that of the Qualcomm 8650, and the PCB can be quickly mass-produced and put into use without much modification. After the launch of self-developed chips, Momenta plans to lower the cost of urban assisted driving solutions to the 5000 yuan level or even lower.

At present, Momenta is developing projects for Zhiji to go global to Germany, the UK, Thailand, and Australia, with Zhiji's German project about to enter the SOP stage. In addition, the Robotaxi test car jointly developed by Momenta and Uber in Munich, Germany has also been put on the road. This indicates that the Momenta chip has passed the most basic performance tests, and if other tests go smoothly in the future, the self-developed chip can be mass-produced. At that time, Momenta will become an assisted driving supplier with integrated software and hardware capabilities.

In May 2023, after OPPO dissolved its chip design company, Zheku, more than ten former Zheku management members joined Momenta, including Zheku COO Li Zonglin, Zheku Software Department Director Jia Mingjun, Zheku SoC 2 Senior Director Yu Guojun, and nearly ten middle-level managers under him.
