On September 17th, the 22nd China ASEAN Expo (referred to as the "East Expo") was grandly opened in Nanning, Guangxi.
Academician Li Deren, founder of Dongfang Xinglian Space Time Intelligence Group, Chief Scientist of Dongfang Huiyan, and winner of the National Highest Science and Technology Award, as well as high-level representatives such as CEO Fan Danying, co-founder Song Bingchen, and Vice President Wang Pei, were invited to attend the opening ceremony and related activities.
At this year's East Expo, Oriental Star Chain systematically exhibited the full series of 11 satellite models of the "China ASEAN AI Constellation" from Oriental Insight for the first time in the central corridor on the second floor of Zone D. This constellation includes high-resolution AI satellites with a resolution better than 0.5 meters, internationally leading hyperspectral AI satellites, 3D intelligent AI satellites that can build high-precision digital twins of the Earth, and the world's top computing Aurora intelligent computing laser communication AI satellite, fully demonstrating the construction blueprint of the group's "integrated communication and remote computing" space-based intelligent system.
At the same time, the exhibition area also highlighted the preparation progress and technological path of the group's "Southeast Asian Spatiotemporal Intelligent Large Model" developed for the ASEAN region. On the afternoon of the opening day, leaders such as Lan Xiao, Secretary of the Chongzuo Municipal Party Committee in Guangxi, and Chi Wei, Mayor of Chongzuo City, came to the Oriental Star Chain booth to have in-depth exchanges with Academician Li Deren and senior representatives of the group on the progress and implementation of AI constellation construction.
Secretary Lan Xiao affirmed the innovative achievements of Dongfang Xinglian in the aerospace industry and emphasized that Chongzuo City will fully support the layout of the "China ASEAN AI Constellation" project and the landing of related industries. Mayor Chi Wei pointed out that both sides should jointly promote the scenario application of satellite data in agriculture, logistics, disaster reduction and other fields, and help Chongzuo build a space artificial intelligence cooperation hub for ASEAN. Chongzuo City and Dongfang Xinglian have recently signed a framework agreement to jointly promote the construction of the "China ASEAN AI Constellation", which specifies the implementation of satellite launch plans from 2026 and the simultaneous launch of the "Southeast Asia Large Model" research and development work, marking the official implementation stage of the full chain cooperation of "sky satellite networking and ground industry aggregation".
It is reported that on September 18th, the "China ASEAN AI Constellation" project will hold an official launch ceremony at the East Asian Expo site. Leaders from Guangxi and relevant national ministries, representatives from Dongfang Xinglian Group and ASEAN multi country cooperation institutions will attend together to promote China ASEAN space information cooperation and digital economy development.
