On the afternoon of May 22nd, at the 2025 Global Spatio Temporal Intelligence Conference (WGDC25) Cultural Tourism and VR Space Forum, Yan Yang, Deputy Secretary General of Zhongguancun Big Data Industry Alliance and Director of Beijing Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance Metaverse Special Committee, gave a keynote speech on "Research on Innovation and Development of Cultural Tourism Industry and Metaverse Market". He pointed out that in order for the cultural and tourism industry to interact strongly with the real world, a dual wheel drive model must be adopted when promoting it. The first is to generate high traffic through the metaverse digital space, and the second is to monetize traffic through factor markets.

He pointed out that the integration of the metaverse and industry can be divided into seven levels and four layers (basic layer, core layer, advanced layer, and advanced layer) evolution mode, where the basic layer is cognitive, entertainment/office, and the core layer is digital twin, digital native, and experience economy. After the explosion of the large model, the path of the core layer became very short, directly leading to the entry layer. It can be said that the rapid development of AI has propelled the metaverse faster than imagined. The existing problem is that infrastructure such as VR/AR has not yet achieved the expected goals.

He said that in the era of big models, the most popular way to associate with intelligent agents is the MCP protocol (Model Context Protocol, MCP). Once the MCP protocol forms a relatively good ecosystem, whether it is to connect to models or websites, it is simpler than the API interface before. This year, there must be intelligent agents and MCPs that are truly moving towards AGI direction. The ability of embodied intelligence will have a very powerful breakthrough in the field of cultural tourism.

In addition, there is a significant change in data resources or digital assets. For example, the tourism resource trading center adopts a dual chain approach, where digital assets and data assets are linked together. In terms of culture and tourism, it perfectly fits the shuttle between the two spaces.
